Girls’ Generation is bragging about their popularity through six figure revenue in just a month ever since their album released.

? 80 grand albums were sold and US $658,000 made in five weeks.

After releasing their first mini album, Gee, they swept all the music and music source charts for five weeks. They sold 80,000 cds and that made them almost 700 grand in US dollars. They have sold 100,000 first album, Sonyeo Shidae (Girls’ Generation), but the duration was one year. These two albums can’t be compared as far as the popularity concerns.

? Music source market: Top ranked for 5 consecutive weeks and made US $695,000

It has ranked the top as soon as the music source appeared in various music sites including Mnet, Melon, and Doshirak. Especially the value added earnings are amazingly high. According to SK Communications, there has been 68,200 Gee’s ringback tone and phone ring download, and 249,000 cyworld mini homepage background music (BGM).

It made US $411,000 through selling music source and it reaches US $695,000 when including downloads from other websites for a month.

? Daily 3 to 4 commercial proposal love calls and doubled their price- at least US $1 million from commercials

They become a blue chip as their popularity has gone up. According to GG’s representative, SM Entertainment, GGs are getting 3 to 4 commercial love calls. The commercial agents told their price has doubled. It is not easy to raise up their price since they are total nine members, but it doesn’t disturb them to make more money because there are more advertisers who are willing to pay the high price. So far, they have made at least One million dollars from commercial.

? Gee is selling to overseas markets

GGs are making money in overseas. Currently their music is selling in Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Taiwan. Even they haven’t done any concert outside of Korea except SM Town Live Concert, they have got all the different fans from those countries.
