There was a beautiful scene on episode 10 of Cain and Abel that kept floating on my head and I had to decide to put it up here to share with you. Young-ji (Han Jimin) thought that Kang-ho (So Jisup) left because he didn’t come home after they were arguing about how useless it would be for her if he found out his past. It was her birthday and she had to work like a dog all day and walked home tired and depressed.
She suddenly got SMS messages from Kang-ho when she was walking past right in front of each picture on the wall and all the messages had meanings with the pictures. It means that he perfectly timed and prepared to tell his heart how much he appreciates her and think about her. You have to read what he exactly said. Flowing is what he wrote and the pictures that related to his messages.
Kang-ho’s SMS: Just like this crying girl, I never wanted to make any shadows on your face.
Kang-ho’s SMS: I just wanted to live with you happily just like these kids.
Kang-ho’s SMS: Although I am a fool that I don’t even remember my own name, I would like to make good memories with you like children getting older each year. I wanted to grow right beside you as you become a girl and a woman day by day.
Kang-ho’s SMS: I hurried up and got my memory back, and I really wanted to be with you even if we become old and fat.
He showed up right in front of her with a candle lighted birthday cake and said, “Oh Young-ji Dongji (comrade)! Happy birthday!” He was imitating her North Korean accent and language to make her laugh. She was so moved and cried while hugging him. She also confessed him that she thought he left her without saying goodbye.
It was so nice scene with heart moving lines, great pictures and lightings. His soft and warm voice touched her deep inside of her heart. He asked her to blow the candle and make a wish. She thought that her wish became already true when he showed up and decided to stay with her.
He was a perfect guy to make her day and I think all the female viewers would love to have their own Kang-ho on their birthday. Please don’t get mad when your men don’t move your hearts like he does. It is not fair to compare a drama character and your men. I don’t think he would do it for his real life anyway. Let’s just love his great act and enjoy the nice scene with all the pictures on the alley.

Agree , SJS is acting so real , touching our heat deeply , messages are thoughtful , meaningful .
This drama is not dragging as Winter sonata or Stairway to heaven , even amnesia
is too common in K drama but this is different from why he got amnesia and the way he
recovers it slowly , very realistic . Our brain is not like a switch we can turn on and off by car accident .
@cathy
It is lame that many K dramas have car accdents and often gets amnesia. Too common stories and I would like to see some different settings. Although this is one of the kind, SJS makes it all different. I am feeling the impact of one person could change this much better. I think this drama is lucky to have him otherwise it wouldn’t be so much interesting.
