Kim sun-ah to star in New SBS drama City Hall in April

Kim sun-ah is expected to co-star with Ryu si-won in a new SBS drama “City Hall” to be aired on April 22. This is the second time they appear in the same drama after 10 years’ lapse.
For Kim sun-ah, this is comeback in 6 months after the last drama “When its’ at night”. For Ryu si-won, it has been much long rest of 4 years since the drama “Wedding”.
“City Hall” will be a romance drama about Shin mi-rae, a girl who turns from low-grade govenment clerk to a youngest Mayor (Kim sun-ah) and Jo guk, a young elite government official dreaming of becoming the president, after passing all the difficult license tests.
Even the names of the charcters hint at the comical mood of the show. Jo juk means homeland – showing that the hero will have a great- maybe megalomaniac - ambition of doing something big for his country – and Shin mi-rae means New Future – looks like Kim sun-ah will be this time again an optimistic girl as in “My name is Kim Sam Soon”.
The writer, Kim eun-sook and the director, Shin woo-chul of the drama already made together successful dramas like “Lovers in Paris” and “On air”. Another reason to expect something good from the drama.

It’s not their first time together.
They did a drama year 1998. MBC’s “Forever Yours” (aka: Till The End Of The World). Ryu Si Won is the male lead paired with Kim Hee Sun. Kim Sun Ah is the second female lead paired with Lee Jong Soo.

Ryu Shi Won is out of the drama City Hall, news came out yesterday.
I hope they can find the right actor for the lead role.
jastinel/ Thank you for the update. They say there was disagreement among Ryu, the director, and the writer. Details of the disagreement are unknown.
Goodness, hope that this will not affect Suna at all.
Hope that she will still be doing it with another
costar. Just love to see her natural and remarkable

Another good news, Suna will be doing a 2 part drama with the PD of MNIKSS.
I jsut wish she will do both City Hall and After wedding Banquet. Love to see her acting again and very active in showbiz.
