A mild impression vs An outdated ending
Finally the drama Star’s Lover came to an end. People wanted to know what might happen to Chulsu and Mari from the very beginning of the show and the ending was happily married.
On the episode 19, Chulsu and Mari restarted their loving relationship after her brave confession. They looked understanding each other more at the scenes and that was exactly what fans wanted to see.
They both cleared their previous relationships with Woo-jin and Eun-young and they got down to love each other like normal couples. Another problem occurred again when Mari proposed him before she went to America for her dream to become a Hollywood star but he wanted to avoid it because it was not an easy matter. Sure enough she got upset and argued with him, and she wanted to have some time to think about them.
Eun-young also gave him an advice that she was having a hard time because he always think alone and doesn’t trust her to be with himself. He thought about his hesitation and how it might sound to her, then he said,”I can’t be away from you. Let’s go there together.” They visited their houses from their dark young ages and shared their sorrowful memories that they could relate. Chulsu proposed her like,”Let’s get married. It is our destiny.” Mari would like to hear him saying that and accepted his heart with a big lovely grin.
Mari’s narration said love is something mysterious that it is the most common and the greatest feeling, and it has the longest existence from the beginning of this world. Along with her narration their 5 years future was shown with their happy family and that ended this whole story.
Some fans said their love was so beautiful that they were moved by seeing embracing each other’s wounded hearts. Yet, other fans felt bored to see its too conventional and mild ending. All of those fans commonly felt something was it was the end and the all time viewer’s rates were relatively too low although everyone had put all their efforts. They now hope that this great drama will give more impressions to other countries when it plays overseas.
